Mission Statement

This site is devoted to anyone that has a passion to learn and involves themselves with proffesional broadcast production and post production. Over the years I have seen the technologies evolve, for the good and the bad (later topic) and being a gadget guy, what guy isn’t, I have immersed myself around video and film technology. It’s really amazing how fast some technologies come to fruition and become standards. Only to be dethroned by something newer, faster and cheaper, not necessarily better; go figure? Without new products the large electronics corporations would not survive, so it is in their best interest to market and sell us that new-fangled product, year after year. Call it is obsolensce, the democratization of video or the YouTube phenomenon the days of the past; linear BetaCam edit bays and Avid NuBus systems are a distant memories. It’s in the spirit of technology and the art of story telling that i devote these writings to.
